Bend and Not Break Workshop

Open your heart, bring health to your spine!!

Athena will be leading this 2 hour workshop focusing on backbends, a.k.a. “heart-openers”.

She'll talk about the benefits of backbending, how body type affects us, how to warm up for backbends, common poses, variations, how to use props like block, straps and wheels and offer time for practice.

Join this event and dive deeper into the "how" and the "why of back bends. Topics like the emotional aspects of these poses, safe practices and how to feel good in these poses. Backbends are challenging, both physically and emotionally.

The key to feeling healthy is a well-functioning of the nervous system, backbends are a great group of asanas to improve spinal health and alignment which as a result keeps the nervous system happy.
