A sensory meditation experience!

Join Stephanie Navarro on Sunday, August 21 from 3-5pm for a Meditation Through the Senses workshop! 

All are welcome and no meditation experience is necessary.

Stephanie will share how meditation fits into the 8-limb path of yoga, the many benefits of meditation, and will lead you through meditation using your five senses: taste, touch, sight, sound and smell!

Meditation has been used for thousands of years as a way to connect deeper with the self and contemplate the mysteries of life. It continues to be recommended for its stress-reducing benefits, increasing imagination and creativity, lowering resting blood pressure and heart rate, improving sleep, and promoting relaxation.

Meditation is also an essential part of the 8-limb path of yoga, with four of the 8 limbs involving meditation: Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana and Samadhi. In this workshop, we will be working with Pratyahara loosely meaning withdrawal of the senses.

Interested in meditating but don’t know where to start? Have a meditation practice already and want to learn new tools to meditate? Join us! 

You will leave this workshop with a better understanding of meditation, knowing you simply cannot do it wrong, and with the tools to continue your own meditation practice at home.

All materials will be provided for the sensory meditation and you will receive a gift to take home to continue your meditation practice!

Wear comfortable clothing, bring a yoga mat, your water and something to journal with if you would like. Additional props to ensure your comfort will be available at the studio.
